Iron Horse Antq & Appraisers is owned by the antiques collector Debbie McArdle. It was founded in 1970, and the antique dealership services commenced in 1978. Her husband Jim joined her business in 1996. Iron Horse Antq & Appraisers specializes in the sale of pre-1920 American antiques. They also sell items at the Colonial Antique Mall located in Woodstock, Illinois. They have a number of great antique shows all over the United States. The couple are also members of the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association or CSADA, the Northern Illinois Antiques Dealers Association or NIADA and the Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association or WADA, which Debbie serves as the secretary for. They are also member of the New England Appraisers Association where Debbie serves as a consultant in the appraisal, liquidation and sale of personal estates. The couple also participates in several appraisal events that are hosted by libraries and local groups. They give expert advice on the liquidation, preservation and true value of antiques. They buy, sell and appraise antiques and serve as auction consultants and brokers for gold and sterling silver. Debbie is also a docentn advisor at Graue Mill Museum, Oak Brook, IL where she educates visitors and groups on weaving and spinning techniques, looms and antique wheels as well as working with wool and flax.
