Adoption/Auction will take place at Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds. Live auction will begin at 5:00pm MT(after competition). You must be approved by BLM before 4 pm 9/19 for online OR in person bidding. Current line up of 30 horses will be featured on this site as well as the official BLM site and will be available to preview in person at Makeover Competition prior to auction. All bidders MUST BE APPROVED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS YEAR’S AUCTION by BLM.

Meeker Mustang Makeover is an independent, volunteer run entity, that is unaffiliated with any other mustang event, organization, or association. All of the same rules of Bureau of Land Management adoptions apply to this event.
Bidding Notice: Buyer is responsible for transportation. Horses must be picked up no later than 10am on Sunday 9/20/2026, other arrangements should be made by contacting the trainer directly in advance. There are no accommodations available at Fairgrounds. Lot 1 | Winnie
Winnie is a yearling red roan filly that has settled into human life perfectly, and enjoys being apart of all activities. Winnie is easy to catch, lead, send over obstacles, load, trailer, and stands tied quietly on the rail and for the farrier. Winnie is happiest when doing something that makes her brain work and thrives on learning new things which makes her fun to work with. Winnie has had extensive ground work and desensitization done, she’s done a number of different obstacles including moving bridges, jumps, and tunnels. Winnie takes whatever weird object I have to throw at her with curiosity which includes umbrellas, pool noodles, tarps, and big bouncy balls. Lot 2 | Yehudi Big Booty
Gray Yearling from Adobe Town HMA Yehudi Big Booty is a beautiful yearling mustang mare with a unique color, long legs, and a dorsal stripe. She is curious, willing, and smart. Yehudi is gentled. Halter, bit, and saddle broke. Loads and unloads. She is obstacle trained. She walks, trots, and ponies nicely. In addition, she lays down, sits, and goes through tight spaces.
Lot 3 | Aspen
Palomino Yearling from Adobe Town HMA Aspen Runs With the Wind is a silly, sweet, curious little Mustang with a BIG personality. She is smart, athletic, and has come an incredible distance from the wild yearling I first met. My favorite thing about Aspen is the trust we have built together. She has learned to lead, trailer, stand for the farrier, navigate obstacles, and confidently go new places with me. Aspen loves learning new things, and I think she has the athletic ability to do almost anything. Someday I would love to trail ride her, take her to fun Western shows, teach her tricks, and maybe even see if she likes jumping!
Lot 4 | Caramel
Strawberry Roan, Yearling from Adobe Town HMA Meet Caramel! This beautiful, sweet filly was rounded up from the Adobe Town HMA as a foal in 2025. She possesses a calm temperament but maintains an eager excitement for new experiences. While Caramel enjoys meeting new people, she ultimately chooses her primary handler; once you earn her trust, she will be a partner for a lifetime. Highly intelligent and a quick learner, she has been exposed to a wide variety of obstacles and handles new challenges with ease. Caramel successfully carries a saddle and pad, stands still perfectly for the vet, stands tied, self- loads into trailers, backs up, lunges, and jumps small obstacles. She also confidently navigates bridges, pedestals, tarps, and puddles. Her most striking feature is her unique coloring. Her caramel looking coat has sparked an ongoing debate over whether she is a strawberry roan or a dunalino roan. Featuring leg bars (zebra stripes), a distinct dorsal stripe, and a large, beautiful star that tapers into a stripe, people easily fall in love with her. Caramel has a bright future ahead and will excel as a performance horse or a fast-paced trail companion.
Lot 5 | Hermoine
Gray Yearling from Adobe Town HMA Meet Hermione! Hermione is a yearling mustang filly, rounded up September of 2025 from Adobe Town HMA. She is friendly, laid back, and loves kids. Hermione is rapidly changing colors and is currently turning roan. She has a thick curly tan tail with a distinctive dun stripe, long curly grey mane, two large back socks and a blaze. She bows, loves to jump, walks over tarps, carries a saddle (cinched up), carries saddle packs with weight, stands tied, picks up all four feet, loads into a trailer and much more! She has done lots of travel to local rodeo grounds and large indoor arenas. She follows people around like a puppy and is always wanting to interact and play.

Sorrel 2 Year old from Muskrat Basin HMA Say howdy to our Yad El (“Hand of God” ), a two-year old sorrel mustang from Muskrat Basin, Wyoming measuring 14.1 hands. This handsome gelding is highly inquisitive, curious, confident, beyond fearless, a bit mouthy and goofy but has a great brain. He loves a challenge and needs a job as he gets bored easily. A little more whoa than go but will move out nicely when asked. He stands tied, fly sprays, wears a saddle, drags large objects, is not intimidated by new people, loves kids, animals and loads in the trailer easily. Yad EL loves to please and works happily for wither and neck massages/scratches.
Lot 7 | Black Riffle Coffee
Gray 2 Year Old from Conant Creek HMA Meet Black Rifle Coffee! 2 year old 14.2hh gelding from the Conant Creek HMA in Wyoming! He is friendly and has a great mind! Easy to halter, load and unload and stands well for the farrier. Has very little fight or flight to him. Willing to learn and will be used to carry a lite driving harness, cross buck packing saddle and a normal western saddle. He will be shown in hand only but he will be sold started lightly under saddle and safe! He will mature to be a large and well muscled boy by the time he is five or six and he would be welcomed back to our barn for continued training after the sale if that interests the buyer! Sure-footed, willing, and game for just about anything you ask of him, he's happiest out on the trails or checking out something new. He enjoys obstacles, takes on new challenges with a good attitude, and has the kind of curiosity that makes him a fun, dependable partner. Whether you're looking for a trustworthy trail horse or one that's happy to try new adventures, this gelding is ready to go.
Lot 9 | Billy the Kid (AKA Kid)
Gray 2 yr old from Muskrat Basin HMA Billy the Kid is a BLM Mustang from the Muskrat Basin HMA. He is a two-year-old red gray gelding that is about 14.1-14-2 hands tall, He has kind heart and a willingness to try just about anything. He is currently being saddled and worked from the ground to prepare him to become someone’s riding partner when the time is right. He has also been exposed to a wide variety of desensitization, my goal has always been to keep him thinking, aware, and confident. When Billy encounters something new, he may shuffle his feet or stretch out to take a closer look, but he never loses his willingness to learn. He trusts the person handling him, allowing each new experience to build his confidence. He has a solid foundation, giving his future owner a horse that is ready to be finished in the direction they choose. One of Billy’s greatest qualities is his mind. Even after having time off, he comes back to work as if he never skipped a beat. He retains what he learns, making each training session a continuation rather than starting over. Billy has the mind, build, and willingness to become whatever his next partner dreams of. His unique color and size are just an added bonus. He will come with a goodie bag as well!

Gray 2 Yr old from Muskrat Basin HMA Roulette is a 2 year old brown gelding from Muskrat Basin WY. He stands at 14.1 and string tests to 15h. He is a very sweet, friendly and laid back guy. He has such a willing attitude and is very smart. He will do anything you ask and soooo is eager to please. This colt has a great foundation, great mind and will excel at any discipline. He loves kids, other horses, dogs and especially humans. He has participated in several shows, travels amazing, loves water, loads, ties, clips, bathes, lunges, saddles, ponies, crosses water, tarps..the list goes on and on!

Gray 2 Year old from Muskrat Basin HMA Maverick is an amazing horse. He is highly intelligent and thinks through new situations. He is a willing partner who thrives with a strong and fair leader.
Lot 12 | Sand Man
Gray 2 Yar old from Muskrat Basin HMA Under-Saddle Sand Man is a big and pretty two year old. He currently stands at 13.3hh, but that's just as a two year old! He's going to grow up to be big and pretty! Not only does he have the looks, but he also has a great mind, and a super willing disposition. He's in your pocket all the time, and he's always looking for an opportunity to please you. He's been exposed to tarps, ropes, and more, and he's still curious about anything else that you throw his way. I've also ridden him around bareback and in a halter and I'm super excited to see where he goes under saddle. This is a super nice little horse that someone is going to love working with.
Lot 13 | Flint
Bay 3 Year old from Antelope NV HMA 14-Hand Gelding Antelope Valley, Nevada Mustang- Flint is the kind of good-natured fellow who is always ready for the next adventure. Whether it’s crossing rivers, working cattle, covering country on the trail, or just enjoying a relaxing ride, Flint takes it all in stride. Very few things seem to fluster this gelding, and he approaches new situations with a willing attitude and a level head. Flint is soft, responsive, and sensitive, with a good handle and a desire to please. He’s the type of horse that makes you want to saddle up and see where the trail takes you. At 14 hands, Flint is a handy size with plenty of ability. He has become a favorite of my 8-year- old son, who rides him regularly. While I wouldn’t call Flint a finished “kid-broke” horse just yet because of his sensitivity, that says a lot about his good nature and willingness. If you’re looking for a solid trail partner with real-world experience, a horse you can go work cattle on, or simply a good-minded gelding to enjoy, Flint deserves a serious look. Good nature. Soft feel. Willing mind. And always ready for another adventure.
Lot 14 | Dandelion Bramble (AKA Dandy)
Meet Dandelion Bramble, aka Dandy! This is the young horse that everyone wants. He's just the sweetest boy and wants to be loved on all the time. He is the first to meet you at the gate and is super easy to catch. He is stands perfectly for the farrier and is great with all four feet. He stands tied quietly for grooming and tacking, and you can hop right on, no prep needed! Under saddle Dandy is more woah then go, but will move forward if you ask him to. He is currently going well walk-trot-canter. He is truly a versatile horse and can be ridden english or western. He moves off your leg well and can move his shoulders, hindquarters, and side pass. He can come round in the bridle or ride on a loose rein. This sweet boy loves everyone and has never met a stranger, he loves kids and is so gentle and kind. He also has some trick and liberty training! Dandy loves to sit on a beanbag and will follow you at liberty, and can do beautiful liberty circles. Dandy is 3 years old, 15 hands, and from the Twin Peaks HMA.

Sorrel 3 Year old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Red River Remedy is a gentle, athletic Mustang with a great mind and a strong work ethic. He’s confident on the trail, eager to learn, and ready to become someone’s trusted partner.
Lot 16 | Trusty Hocks
Sorrel 3 Year old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Meet Trusty Hocks! 3 year old 14.2hh gelding from the well known Twin Peaks HMA. He is not only exceptionally trusting but he is also trust worthy. He truly has the best mind of any mustang I have ever trained and you will love his heart. He has more whoa than go but he will give you lots of go if you ask. Stands for farrier, loads and unloads well, rides well in halter or bosal as well as snaffle bit or small shank. You can lead a trail ride, cross the river, sort numbered cattle, drag objects or just trot and lope nice circles on the correct lead and slide to a stop! He will be practicing some mounted shooting both with firearms and archery. This great gelding would be welcomed back for continued training after the show and sale! Not flashy but well built and powered by a really good mind!!

Bay 3 Year old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Meet Trooper! A sweet 3-year-old blood bay gelding from the Twin Peaks, CA HMA. He currently stands 13.3 hands but should mature to about 14.3-15H. Trooper is curious and kind, loves our kids, and is not bothered by dogs, farm equipment, or ATVs. He is an absolute gentleman on the ground and great to handle. He’s a forward-moving horse that likes to cover ground. We’ve used Trooper on the ranch moving cattle in the mountains. He’s also competed in gymkhanas, versatility ranch horse, English and western shows. Trooper is current on dental and farrier work, and he is ready to come home and be your next partner! Sorrel 3 Year Old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Plot Twist (Twister) is a 14-hand, solid black BLM Mustang from Antelope, Nevada, and truly a special horse. After my original competition horse, Sparky, was unexpectedly withdrawn, Twister stepped in nearly six weeks behind the competition. By the time of the event, he will have only had 100 days of training, yet he has exceeded every expectation. He is quiet, willing, confident, and eager to please. Under saddle, he is soft, responsive, and dependable with excellent brakes. He is equally comfortable riding out alone or with a group, handles new environments with ease, and remains calm in chaotic situations. He is the kind of horse you can trust, whether in the arena, on the trail, or around the ranch. His temperament and tolerance are what truly set him apart. Twister can be ridden bareback and in a halter, stands quietly for the farrier, loads and hauls well, stands tied patiently, and is respectful on the ground. Bay 3 year old from Antelope NV HMA Looking for correct confirmation, smooth movement, and personality? Stitch is your horse. From Day 1 his footwork has been naturally flawless, and training wasn’t how to move, it was learning cues and how to partner with his handler/rider. Naturally curious of everything and friendly, but with an ornery streak that earns him his “Experiment 626” moniker. Be prepared for a wicked smart but sensitive mind, and a heart that far outsizes his 14.0 hand frame… this horse will not quit! Started with join-up and natural horsemanship techniques, Stitch also has a foundation of liberty work, been driven, roped and drug objects, exposed to cattle, and even English show jumping. This colt has a broad array of discipline experience allowing him to go in any direction you choose, as long as he’s your friend along the way.

Brown 3 year old from Antelope NV HMA Coin Purse "Percy" is a 3 year old, bay, gelding from Antelope Nevada. Percy is a middle of the heard, easy going guy. Either on the trail or in the arena he is a willing partner and will try anything with a confident rider. Ready to go any direction this athletic quick footed guy will make a great partner. He has already placed in shows, done countless hours on the trail, and has moved cows. No matter what you throw his way he is safe and willing.
Lot 21 | Ladoux
Bay 3 Year old from Antelope NV HMA Ledoux is a three year old from Antelope Nevada, standing at 13.3 hands high. He has three very comfortable gaits under saddle and rides in both a snaffle or traditional hackamore. Ledoux has extensive miles on leisurely trails and helping gather cattle. He has a forward, ground covering walk that keeps up with the bigger horses. He is at his happiest out and about, and would do best with a confident rider to finish out his arena work. Ledoux is an incredibly friendly horse on the ground and would be content hanging out with his new person all day long.
Lot 22 | Queso
Sorrel 3 year old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Queso is a 3 year old gelding from Twin Peaks, NV who stands around 14.1hh. He is kind, level headed & has a good mind. He has experience riding in rough country, pushing cows, is good with a rope & calmly faces obstacles. He loads easily, ties quietly & stands for the farrier. Queso has a fun personality, loves attention & wants to be your friend-he will make someone a great partner. I will be available following the makeover if his new owner is interested in continuing his training.
Lot 23 | Lucky 7
Sorrel 3 Year old from Antelope NV HMA “Lucky Seven” is a 3 year old Mustang gelding. Seven currently stands at 14.3 hands tall and is growing rapidly. Seven is full of personality and has never met a stranger. With a friendly personality he is very willing and eager to please. Lucky Seven has had many miles of trail put on him. He will ride on the roadways, cross ditches, bridges, and crosses creeks. Seven has been through the obstacles, been roped off of, tracked the dummy, arena ridden, hauled off of property to camping trips and parades. Seven works off of leg cues and is starting to have a nice handle on him. Seven could excel in the Western or English world with his elegant movements to his striking good looks! This young gelding has a lifetime full of opportunities ahead of him with whatever direction you’d like to go!
Lot 24 | Frankie
Brown 3 Year old from Antelope NV HMA Frankie is as sweet as they come! This 3-year-old roan gelding with a racoon-striped tail hails from Antelope, NV and currently measures 14hh. Frankie spent the summer traveling all over Wyoming and northern Colorado. He logged miles in the mountains and he got an equally solid eventing foundation: training level dressage and schooling over small stadium and cross-country fences. Frankie packed and rode in the Absarokas and Wind River Ranges, worked a NOLS course, went to a county horse show, participated in clinics with Micaela Love and Alexis Martin-Vegue, schooled XC in Gillette, and spent more than 15 nights backcountry camping! Frankie is curious and friendly, walks right up to you in the corral, stands quietly for the vet and farrier, and trailers like a pro. He has spent time around kids and dogs, and he is unfazed by lots of activity. If you are looking for a personable horse who rides English and Western and can take you into the mountains, into the show ring, or both, you couldn’t find a better one than Fankie!
Lot 25 | Friday Night
Sorrel 3 Year old from Twin Peaks CA HMA Friday Night is a 2.5 year old mustang gelding out of Twin Peaks CA. He currently stands at 14.3 HH and is quickly growing. Friday is quick to overcome obstacles, low spook, and will quickly become your best friend. Friday is full of try and has excelled at everything I have asked him to do. Friday Night can push cows, trail ride, cross bridges, handle excess outside stimulus, trailer load, comes in easily from our 10 acre pasture, is great with kids, dogs and other horses, and is overall a very easy going guy. He has been ridden with flags, pulls a sled and doesn’t mind being roped off of. He has also had extensive exposure to motorized vehicles and has been ridden in a local parade without issues. Friday would excel in an English or western home, and is always ready to go to work. Friday is up to date on all vet and farrier work.

Bay 3 Year old from Antelope NV HMA Sancho is a big and stout bay three-year-old. He currently stands 14.2hh with plenty of growth coming in his future. Sancho has been used just about everywhere, from riding in the arena, to gathering cows, and riding on the mountain. He's seen more than most of your average three-year-olds. Sancho has put in his share of miles gathering cows in the desert, he has led packstrings up and down the mountain, and he's spent a lot of time in the arena. Sancho wants to please, has lots of go, and is happy to do whatever you ask of him. While he enjoys getting out and covering some country, he is also happy to slow down and do the job correct or just enjoy the view. Sancho has a smooth gait, and all the willingness in the world to do whatever you want him to do. He has a good mind on him and has handled every inconvenience like a pro. He's a great horse that someone is going to love finishing out!
