3. 1989 Case 580 K Construction King Backhoe Loader

From the OWNER: This 580K has been an excellent machine in every way. I have maintained it as recommended and repaired as needed. I am retired and no longer need it so I trust it will be a good dependable machine for the next owner. Below I have provided an outline of what I know about it. Service and Repair Performed: • New U joints on drive line • New drive yoke • Engine oil and filter change, Caterpillar ULS 15W40 oil (next change due in 91 hours) • Primary air filter change • Secondary air filter change • Primary fuel filter change • Secondary fuel filter change • Re-seal rocker covers • Inspect engine and transmission, all good • Remove cracked emergency brake disc • Inspect brake system function, brakes operation solid Upgrades: • New rear tires, installed March 27, 2026 • New LED lights front and rear • Hooks on the bucket for the fork lift optional device Things to be aware of: • Hours unknown. When I bought it the hour meter was broken, one number half up and one half down. A few minutes later all the numbers were different. It didn’t matter to me since I had inspected it thoroughly and being a life long mechanic I could tell it was very good condition. I purchased a rebuilt cluster and installed it. • The rear wiper motor works correctly but is intermittent. When switched on sometimes it will run and other times it will not. Where the motor runs correctly I would think it is a bad switch or bad connection. I would have fixed it but did not discover it before it was too late. • Emergency brake does not work since the broken disc was removed. The best the front bucket and the two stabilizers work better than the emergency brake lever.
