Craig Kelsey was a lifelong farmer whose connection to agriculture began at just nine years old on his family’s farm near Connell, Washington. Farming was far more than a career for Craig—it was a way of life he remained devoted to for nearly seven decades, reluctantly stepping away from active farming at the age of 76.
A 1964 valedictorian of Connell High School, Craig went on to earn a degree in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University in 1969. He brought both education and a lifetime of hands-on experience back to the family farm, where hard work, responsibility and dedication defined his approach to agriculture.
Craig was also a lifelong advocate for the small family farm and served on the board of the Lind Grange, giving his time and leadership to the agricultural community he cared deeply about.
