Registration closes and the $100,000 earnest money deposit is due at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET, Wednesday, July 22.  It is recommended that the participants submit the bid deposit at least 48 hours prior to the start of the auction.

ALUMINUM PROFILES:

• Aluminum Profiles in the form of approximately 161,409 non-functional “pallets”, with approx. total weight of 24,145,500 lbs. (12,072+- U.S. Tons).  See below for itemized list of aluminum.
   
• Stored in 623 - 625 40 ft. shipping containers, which are mostly high cube containers, except for 30 standard (low cube)
  • "Heavy" profiles weigh approx. 170 lbs. each
  • "Light profiles weigh approx. 43 lbs. each
  • "Hollow" profiles weigh approx. 29 lbs. each  
  • Dimensions of each pallet is approx. 48" x 43" x 6"  
  • For the "Heavy" pallets, there are approx. 252 in each container.  For the lighter pallets, there can be up to 288 - 324 per container
  • The quantity of heavy, light and hollow pallets are listed for each specific seizure number below
     
• Alloy Composition:
  • The aluminum is reported predominately as 6000 Series aluminum alloy, with a small percentage of the pallets being A356 alloy. 
  • This alloy assessment is based on random sampling of a small percentage of the aluminum that was done by the direction of the Government at the time of seizure in 2017.  Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend one of the scheduled in-person previews and conduct their own XRF testing of samples provided, and to make their own determination as to the aluminums composition.  Sample pallets will be made available during the scheduled previews for visual inspection and XRF testing by interested parties.
