The unique way to combine the love of buying, selling, and entertaining, is through Auctioneering. A New Day Auctions has a long history. The partners started off when they met in high school. They got married after college, and the blessing trickled in. They were blessed with two boys. During that time the collections grew tremendously. Joshua was known to never let anyone throw anything away. He believed that one man's trash is another man's treasure! When they had to have two semi-trailers move them, they realized they had a LOT of stuff. The couple used to collect oddities, antiques, and toys. Later on, they decided to start selling at antique stores and online with their EBay business 2bitjunk. While attending a charity auction, one of their friends told Joshua that he would be a great auctioneer. And that was the beginning of A New Day Auctions. Within months, the couple was at Mankato, MN in class at Continental Auctioneer School. They later performed their first auction a week after graduation. The business was official in May 2009. They later leased a building in Lakeville that summer and started doing consignment auctions and real estate sales. Eventually, they settled on Thursday nights and have being doing weekly auctions ever since. The couple moved the business to its current location in Cannon Falls in July of 2011. The Business has continued to grow, adding space, employees, and live bidding online. This is with the aim of reaching a worldwide market. Joshua has a radio broadcasting degree. He also has owned a DJ company for more than 15 years. Additionally, he has worked for almost 2 decades as a manager and quality assurance specialist. He takes pride in being a dad, and has an insatiable addiction to garage sales, antique shows and playing table tennis. He is licensed, Insured, and bonded in Minnesota (#19-160) as a Certified Auctioneer, Real Estate Auctioneer, and Charity Auctioneer. Kendra is a graduate of Indiana University. She has vast experience in retail sales, and marketing. She helped to start the Minnesota chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association. Any spare time is spent with the kids. She is also licensed, insured and bonded in Minnesota (#19-159) as a Certified Auctioneer, Real Estate Auctioneer, and Charity Auctioneer. The company provides a range of activities.
